Violent Violins Exposed is an installation that consists of three video clips created for Babak Ahteshamipour’s same titled album released via Jollies (Brooklyn, NYC) April 3rd 2024, and digitally printed fabrics that feature characters from the video clips. This installation is an exploration of blackened dreams, despair and violence woven by accelerating techno-capitalism. It seeks to unravel the interconnectedness between technological singularity, cybernetic warfare, environmental degradation, waste and pollution, from extractivist activities fueling geopolitical conflicts to the pursuit of capitalist immortality.
