This is an afternoon. A memory. An adventure that has already happened and a reunion with myself. A love letter to Coruña and an introduction to my favorite place in the world. And a visual novel, of course.
“To All the Rocks that Raised Me” is a visual novel that takes players on an introspective one-hour journey through the Galician city of A Coruña. Through the protagonist’s eyes, players can explore the city and experience his memories as the game progresses.
BIO: Carlos Cortés García has been a video game programmer since 2014 and a video game player since 1999. In 2023, he took on a challenge to create a game every week. Carlos’s game development focuses heavily on introspection, narrative, and the small stories found in daily life, as well as on rapid prototyping. Porting his games to alternative formats is a not-so-secret passion of his, and he strongly believes that games should be playable across as many formats as possible.
This game is presented by Jugar Juegitos and Resistència Videolúdica.
Jugar Juegitos and Resistència Videolúdica are two cultural collectives from Galicia and Catalonia dedicated to the reflection, exhibition, critique, and connection of and around video games in our local communities. Their common goal is to explore video games as cultural objects through an interdisciplinary lens. To this end, we organize cultural activities such as the “Club de joc Wholesome” from Resistència Videolúdica and the “Jugar Juegitos” exhibition from Jugar Jueguitos.
