Talk
Friday 17-11 / 17:30

Matthijs van Staalduine is a writer and filmmaker from Enschede. During his study as a playwright at the HKU University of Arts Utrecht he researched interactivity in both theatre and live gaming, trying to find a hybrid form of interactive theatre with no boundaries between actor and audience member. He sees LARP as a dream-like playground: an environment where participants can be free to express their creativity, explore their personal boundaries, and rediscover the timeless mythical stories that connect us all subconsciously- just like the stories our ancestors used to tell around the fire pit. Matthijs has developed several short-LARPs and is currently a game master at the local fantasy LARP Seven Realms.
