As The Overkill and Sickhouse are talking about climate crisis quite often, it is only but expected that we implement steps to lower our Co2 impact and reflect openly on our actions.
On this page we are trying to list what we are doing to reduce the CO2 impact of the festival.
Your advices and constructive criticism are welcome, we want to do more.

– The Overkill invites artists from many places in the world, as much as possible we ask artists to use the train to come to the festival. It is not always possible because of time and organisation, but the festival encourage and supports financially the artists able to take the train.
The flight travels are so far representing : 23,1t CO2 (last update 20-10-2024)

– The Overkill is not using any plastic cups and only serve drinks in recyclable bottles.

– The Overkill reuses material for the build up of the exhibition. The wood and the screws are collected after the festival and re-used in other projects when possible.

– The plastic garbage are sorted out.

– Our merchandise are printed with “Groenewas” that is using sustainable printing processes, biological material and water based ink.

– The Overkill is a vegetarian organisation, we only buys and serve vegetarian and vegan food.

Aangezien The Overkill en Sickhouse vaak praten over klimaat crisis, kan men verwachten dat we stappen ondernemen om onze Co2 impact te verminderen en reflecteren op onze acties.
Op deze pagina proberen we te lijsten wat we doen om onze CO2 impact van het festival te verminderen.

– The Overkill nodigt kunstenaars van over heel de wereld uit, we proberen zo veel als mogelijk kunstenaars te vragen om met de trein naar het festival te komen. Het is niet altijd mogelijk door tijd en organisatie, maar het festival moedigt aan en ondersteunt de kunstenaars financieel, die de mogelijkheid hebben om de trein te nemen. De vluchten geven aan, tot nu toe : 23,1t CO2 uit te stoten. (Laatste update 20-10-2024)

– The Overkill gebruikt geen plastic bekers en serveert alleen drinken in recyclebare flessen.

– The Overkill hergebruikt materiaal voor het opbouwen van de tentoonstelling. Het hout en de schroeven worden verzameld na het festival en hergebruikt in andere projecten wanneer mogelijk.

– Het plastic afval wordt gesorteerd.

– Onze merchandise is geprint met “Groenewas” dat een duurzaam print proces, biologisch materiaal en op water gebaseerde inkt gebruikt.

– The Overkill is een vegetarische organisatie, we kopen en serveren alleen vegetarisch en vegan eten.
